The story follows the siblings as they navigate their difficult circumstances, all while trying to come to terms with the loss of their parents, Bala and Rıfat, whose impossible love is the root of their tragedy. The story takes place in Istanbul, but the siblings’ journey begins in a small village in Mardin, where their parents’ love story started. With no clear direction, the siblings set out for Istanbul, following Samet’s idea to visit their “Lion-like uncles,” who they’ve never met but know to be their father’s trusted allies.
